DSG ENERGY REDUCED CARBON FOOTPRINT BY USING BIODIESEL
This is to announce that since 2020 DSG Energy has been using biodiesel, aiming to reduce the carbon footprint and move towards long-term sustainable development.
DSG Energy supplies LPG across Hong Kong and Macau and is dedicated to providing innovative and competitive energy solutions, supporting the energy transition in relation to long-term development for the region.
LPG is a clean energy source as it generates the least greenhouse gas emissions when comparing with all the available fossil fuels. The decision to go with Shell FuelSave Diesel B5 is in line with our business purpose – to play a leading role in meeting energy requirements in a safe, economically, environmentally, and socially responsible way. This initiative is coherent with our parent company DCC’s sustainability plan in dealing with the climate change and energy transition.
At the same time, we would also like to make a positive impact in leading the change and growing our business. We believe this initiative can create additional sustainability value to our business and to our customers.
Incorporating DCC’s sustainability target, we have set various actions in our own sustainability plan to show how we are contributing to sustainable development. Since 2020, we started utilizing Shell FuelSave Diesel B5 to cover over 80% of our vehicles in operation today. We have managed to reduce our carbon footprint compared to when conventional diesel was used before. We have also joined Shell Nature Based Solution project for offsetting carbon dioxide emissions to further build sustainability in our business practices.
