DSG Energy wins the “Sustainable Procurement Award” and “Environment, Health and Safety Award” at Hong Kong Green Awards 2021

DSG Energy is proud to be awarded the “Sustainable Procurement Award (SME) – Supplier Engagement”, as well as a recognition level of Bronze in the “Environment, Health and Safety Award (SME)” at the Hong Kong Green Awards 2021 of the Green Council.

These awards demonstrate our commitment to our business purpose – to play a leading role in meeting energy requirements in a safe, economically, environmentally, and socially responsible way.  “Safety” is maintained as one of our parent company DCC’s four core values and forms the cornerstone of the Group’s sustainable success. In line with this, DSG Energy achieved a 13 Million Hours Lost-Time Injury Free milestone in June 2021.

Since 2018, DSG Energy has been on a journey driving sustainable development along our value chain based on sustainability framework targeting four key areas: Climate Change & Energy Transition, Safety & Environmental Protection, People & Social, and Governance & Compliance.  This framework applies across all business activities, including our suppliers and contractors.  Under this framework we have already seen carbon footprint reductions from switching to biodiesel in 80% of our fleet, and strong efforts to reduce carbon emissions from our suppliers.

These initiatives showcase our commitment and dedication to building a greener future and is coherent with the Group’s sustainability plan for taking actions managing climate change issues and striving through energy transition, targeting to reduce our carbon footprint and move towards long-term sustainable development by 2025.
